I replaced the Board-Phas and speed control plate since power was not making it to the motor. When I received the speed control plate it had nuts on the upper screws with springs, since my old one didn't have nuts I assumed that the nuts were to keep the springs on until installed. After putting it back together, I noticed that though it worked, the first two settings did nothing. Now, guys, I was desperate, OK. I downloaded the service manual and read it from front to back, and when I got to... Read more
This planetary drip ring fits around a stand mixer's planetary assembly to cover the gap below the gearcase and help catch grease residue, restoring a clean, finished look where the beater hub meets the mixer head.
This was a problem that I'd had previously with this mixer. The worm gear, which is designed to fail (so that more serious damage does not occur to the motor), did fail while I was mixing some multi-grain bread dough. After the previous failure (pre-youtube days), I took the machine in for repair. The repair-shop cost came to about $150 in labor. Parts were extra. This time, I decided to do the repair myself, since I figured that I knew what was wrong. I found the appliancepartspros... Read more

Removed the old planetary and cleaned metal shavings from gears. Transferred the old axle/gear assembly onto the new planetary. Inserted the new (and expensive) screw for the main gear and torqued it very tight (as well as the original other four screws). Slid the new planetary gears together and re-inserted the holding pin. Replaced the center gear and since they sent the hub along I replaced that too just to be safe. Used the live chat before ordering to make sure I was ordering the correct part. The person I chatted with was very nice and very helpful and parts came in good shape, and just as ordered. Replaced the stripped gear the next day and added a bunch of grease and the mixer works like new. Was very impressed with their diagrams and helpful videos as well as their large selection of parts. The other... Read more
Mixer won't run or just hums? Worn motor brushes in the holder cause power loss. This DIY repair restores full motor function on stand mixers.

Fastening screw for securing components inside appliances. Replaces lost, stripped, or damaged screws during repairs or part installations.
Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more
