My friend researched online what would make a dishwasher just stop working, no power. The person on the you tube video showed how to first start with the thermal fuse. Then searched online for the thermal fuse. You had the part for a small price. I felt it was worth trying to see if that may be the issue. IT WORKED!! I was without a dishwasher for over a year, was planning to by a brand new one but for $23.00 now have a working dishwasher!! YEAH! Read more
Plastic nut that secures the lower spray arm to the dishwasher mount. Replace if broken, cracked, or threads are stripped to keep the spray arm in place.
Removed 8 hex screws and the cap to remove the broken threads...used needle nosed pliers for this, stuck them in and expanded them to put pressure on the thread sleeve from the inside, as threads were broken off below the edge. Replaced all very simply Read more

Over time, the detergent lid spring can wear out
Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more

Dishwasher won't fill or overfills with water? The water inlet valve controls fill cycles. Most DIYers complete this repair in under 60 minutes.
Ordered new inlet water valve and float switch kit. After repairs it now works fine. However the water inlet valve outlet end for fill hose (not water source) and wire connections (supposedly for this unit) were oriented 180 degrees opposite. I had to gently remove the blue plastic valve off the metal support bracket and turn it around and press back in place. Fortunately it appears it was designed for either orientation. Also the solenoid had to be unclipped and also rotated. Again it was... Read more

Delivers water from supply line to dishwasher tub. Replace if cracked, leaking, chewed by rodents, or damaged during installation or moving.
Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. After removal of drain hose from the pump, discovered that drain hose was connected to water inlet assembly which also needed removal to... Read more

First off I have to say that Appliance Parts Pro's saved me from hiring a repair person, and quite possibly just getting rid of my washing machine. Their video's helped out SOOOOOOOO much and the advice one of their agents gave me over their online chat helped me trouble shoot something when I got stuck. On top of this they shipped my parts fast enough that less than 12 hrs later they arrived, which allowed me to get my machine up and running way faster than the other options I had available.... Fix leaks around the dishwasher motor or poor spray pressure with this impeller and seal kit. DIY-friendly repair takes about 2 hours with basic tools.
My dishwasher quit cleaning dishes and lost all pressure. The food screen would keep clogging up and I would have to take it out and clean it by hand. After putting a new impeller in, the "gears" on the impeller connected with the screen blades, the old impeller the "gears" were stripped off. And the new impeller comes with new seals, after taking old one out I noticed it wasn't long before my old seals would have started leaking. Very simple repair if you watch the great video that... Upper dish rack assembly for dishwashers. Holds glasses, cups, and small items on the top level. Replace if cracked, warped, rusted, or deteriorating.
Just replaced the things. Had to reuse old tine rows, rollers, the spray arm, etc., i.e. I removed 'em from the old racks and put on the new ones, but that was piece of cake. Also, I cleaned the food grinder and the discharge valve compartment (thank you very ???? ???? much, Internet), so spray arms around the top rack get enough water pressure now. I didn't have to buy any parts for the latter part of this little repair project, though. Read more
Dishwasher won't start or lights flash? The door switch signals the control board when closed. Easy DIY fix with video guide. Restore operation.
This was a difficult problem to diagnose. Because the machine would start the wash cycle then shut down after a few minutes of running, it appeared that the cause might be a bad thermostat or heating element, but all checked out ok. That led me to believe that the control panel may be the culprit but it also appeared to be working correctly when I ran the diagnostics program. A visual examination of the components found that the door switch electrical connections looked discolored, so I removed... Read more
Fix loud grinding or buzzing noises during wash cycles with this dishwasher pump and motor assembly. Moderately difficult repair, takes 1-2 hours.
I hated to call a repair Guy, because by the time it takes them to do the service call and then order the part, then schedule another appointment. It would be at least two weeks. I figured I would just buy a new Dishwasher and have it delivered the next day. That was before I saw the price of a new dishwasher. I looked on line and found Appliance Parts Pros, saw the you tube video figured a trained monkey could do this change out on the motor assembly, so why can't I. I ordered the complete... Read more
