I took the new seal out of it's packaging and used a blowdryer on low heat to soften up the seal so that the crease from shipping (it was folded to ship) disappeared. Next I took the refrigerator door off, removed the old seal, & cleaned the area where the new seal would be applied. Following the video on the Appliance Pro Parts website, I re-installed the new seal and put the door back on. Last step was to snap on the new hinge cap I ordered. The video online was easy to follow and this... Read more

Fix a water dispenser or ice maker that won't work. This dual water inlet valve controls water flow to both systems. DIY repair takes 5-30 minutes.
Fix was very easy, I ordered a replacement dual water inlet valve from appliance parts pros .com and waited just a few days for order to be received. After I received the order, I got my tools out and pulled the refrigerator out from the wall. Unplugged the power cord form the wall, turned off the water at the valve in the wall, grabbed my nut driver and removed the cardboard backing on the lower side of the back. I checked that the part that I received to wee if it matched the original part,... Read more

Replaced Case Water Filter assembly DA81-05883A. Please read my post entirely before starting. I completed all the tasks that I could without having to disconnect the refrigerator since it was full of food. First I removed the panel on top of the refrigerator that covers the water line that feeds the dispenser. Do not disconnect any electrical connections or the water line at this time. Remove the panel from the back bottom of the refrigerator that covers the compressor and water valve,... Read more

Clear plastic snack pan drawer for refrigerator storage compartment. Replace if cracked, scratched, clouded, or broken. Slides into existing tracks.
I searched the web for a replacement drawer to no avail. Once I reached this site I was pretty discouraged when your site also said my drawer was no longer available. A suggestion for a different replacement drawer that MAY work was my only option. I purchased the drawer with the understanding that it could be returned if it didn't fit. To my surprise it came in two days and fit perfectly. I am thrilled every time I open the fridge. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and would... Read more
Replaces broken or cracked endcaps that secure door shelf retainer bars. Snaps onto refrigerator door to hold shelves in place and prevent items from falling.
Submitted September 7, 2014 On my 1993 (mfg. date) Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, the shelf endcaps on the inside of the refrigerator door were broken. The endcaps (paired) are the plastic pieces that attach each shelf's horizontal metal strip to the door. The horizontal strip acts as a retainer to keep items from falling off the shelf. The refrigerator door contains 4 door shelves, thus 4 horizontal metal strips held in place by 8 plastic endcaps. Some of the original endcaps,... Read more
Water leaking from bottom of fridge? Cracked evaporator drip tray lets defrost water escape. Moderate DIY repair, about 45-60 minutes with our guide.
The drain pan (Tray-Evaporator Pan) was cracked in 2 places. We had to remove the front panel. Loosen the bracket that holds the water filter. Take off the back panel and disconnect the bracket that holds the selenoid. It was not necessary to unhook the water lines, just the bracket. It was not easy to remove the old pan and get the new one in, but holding the water filter, with the bracket intact, as far to the left side of the refrigerator as possible gave us the room to get the pan in. ... Stores and chills water before dispensing. Replace if cracked, leaking, or causing slime/film buildup in dispensed water. Installs inside refrigerator.
After watching installation videos on each felt I could pull it off and ordered and received replacement water reservoir and water dispenser tube assembly. Reservoir installation went off without a hitch outside of the added step of the need to remove the entire main in waterline assy in order to access the connectors which also were not as represented in video, in that they were not the press-to-release type but standard threaded compression types. Water Dispenser tube/spout assembly was much... Read more

By next morning you had replied with the actual part number for the gasket. Shipping was fast. I had watched the video several times and so performed... Read more
This screw is used to secure the handle end cap to the center of the door. The screw size measures 8-18 x 1/2 inches.
This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more
