I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. Jenn Air stove JDS9860CDB00 error code 1d11 oven not shutting off. Joe D. • New Berlin , WI • March 20, 2019
First of all Appliance Parts Pros is the best!! I would not have had the confidence to make this repair myself without their outstanding videos and Q&A sections on their website. And their prices for parts are very competitive. Like many stories on the website, my oven would heat up beyond the temperature set point. When it reached the target temperature, the lower heating element (I think this is the “bake” element) would shutoff, but the top element (“broil” element I believe) would remain on...

Element burned out James W. • Round Hill , VA • April 15, 2017
It only takes a screwdriver for this repair. Remove the two screws holding the old element, pull it out of the housing, making sure the wires attached to the element do not fall back into the housing when you unclip them. Once you reattach the wires, simply replace the two screws and the job is done. I could not reuse the old screws though since the old ones did not hold the tight (unit is 20 years old and they were simply stripped). I simply increased the thickness of the screws and the new...

After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions).
