Pump was getting jammed intermittently Christopher G. • Mc Kees Rocks , PA • April 26, 2024
The original pump was getting jammed intermittently, more and more often. I cleaned it out, but that didn't help the jamming. So I ordered a new pump. Have your new pump on hand and look at it to see how it attaches. The original pump, a different part number than the replacement, lasted about 7 years of almost everyday use, with multiple loads each day.
My washer model Maytag MHW5500FW0 has the pump at the bottom back, in an awkward position. This took me about 2 hours due to the awkward...

Broken dryer hinge Beth K. • Belfair , WA • January 07, 2018
I ordered the new hinge and the cap they said would be needed, took the door apart and installed new hinge. Only problem, wish they told me I needed 4 of the caps, for one hinge and each cap was 11.95 x 4...pretty spendy. Fortunately I was able to reuse 3 of my worn ones for now.

Whirlpool washer failure to complete cycle. Stan C. • Acworth , GA • January 02, 2019
I contacted AppliancePartsPros and gave them my symptoms and failure codes and they were able to diagnose the problem and send the correct parts to resolve the issue.
This is the 3rd or 4th time I've used their service since 2012 and they have been correct on each and every repair issue I've had.
Many thanks for the professional advice and help!

Unnoticed leak until i removed the top of my front end washer George V. • Homestead , FL • January 03, 2015
This should be plastered all over the place and every owner of a front end washer should be advised or a recall should be issued about this. As I opened the top of my washer to fix a F35 error by replacing the water level switch, which worked out great and it fixed the issue, I noticed a rusting spot at the bottom of the washer just under where the motor is placed. After running the washer with the lid open (I don't recommend doing that) I noticed that it was coming from the top of the soap...

Washer was displaying error code for the door lock the door lock would latch and unlatch about 3 4 times then the error code would display Brenda K. • Georgetown , TX • July 16, 2016
We watched a YouTube video on how to replace the door latch. Very simple to do. We had to remove the metal band holding the door gasket to be able to access the latch. After removing the band, we pushed aside the gasket and removed the screws to the latch and the connecting cables. To install the new part, we just reversed the process. We reconnected the cables, inserted the new door latch and screwed it in. The hardest part of the process was getting the metal band around the gasket. It...

Washing machine discharge would stink up the whole house. No cleaners or vinegar would stop it from stinking. Douglas B. • Olney , MD • January 28, 2018
Replaced all rubber and plastic hoses coming into and exiting the washer discharge pump. They where gummed up with mold and slime. WOW it stopped all odor from discharge into the utility sink. This model required that the whole front of the washing machine be removed which was very intimidating, but after watching the video from Appliance Parts Pros it was easy, I also replaced discharge pump and the bellows since I had it apart anyway and it was 5 years old. Thank you Appliance Parts Pros I...

Ordered and replaced the bellows. The video was a great help; but as others have mentioned, later models have small differences. Check your model number. I'll second everything said in the review dated Nov 10, 2018; including the part about getting an assistant to hold the outer retention ring in place while you are stretching the spring.

F8 e2 error maytag maxima front load washer Christopher A. • Azle , TX • May 26, 2018
After watching the YouTube video provided by Appliancepartspros and checking various forums I determined the dispenser motor had gone out. Turns out, it was a two part problem. The connectors to the motor, and the motor had corroded. Cleaned them both with vinegar. The old motor did a load before I started having problems with the CCU. I didn't learn about the CCU needing a reset under the quick diagnostics until after replacing the motor and the new part doing the same thing. Both the new...

Leaking inlet valve on seven year oly whirlpool duet front load washer causing water to pool under the machine John G. • Porter Ranch , CA • February 24, 2017
Saw the drip, ordered the part. Unplugged machine from wall. Torx bit on my DeWalt cordless drill to remove the screws securing the lid to the machine, lifted off top cover. Turned off water supply and removed the water supply hoses from back of the machine, used needle-nosed pliers to remove spring clamps from the defective part, removed mounting screw for defective part at rear of machine. F2 e3 error code on front load duet washer Mark M. • Saratoga Springs , NY • September 16, 2016
Replace the water temperature sensor and still had the error code. While I had the back of the machine open I ran the washer. I traced the black wires from the temperature sensor and wiggled them as the washer was running. At one zip tie every time i moved the wires the washer would stop running and the error code would flash. Sure enough, like many others posted, the vibration from the machine had split the wire. I spiced the wire back together and have not had a problem since.
