Jennair jjw9630cas double oven doors did not close all the way and the light would not go out Wayne W. • East Longmeadow , MA • February 13, 2016
I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. It didn't look like a difficult fix so I ordered four new hinges and four new receptacles, which arrived quickly. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to replace the hinges and it...

It seems that oven insulation is a popular vacation spot for mice who want to get away from it all Paul J. • Washington , TX • May 10, 2014
Took the stove apart*, saw where the mouse had made a nest. It was kind of like a hotel room after a rock star had used it. It was nasty, is what I'm saying. I removed the insulation, which immediately went into a garbage bag and was placed outside, whereupon I took off and nuked the site from orbit. It was the only way to be sure (actually it was disposed of in the proper manner, no nukes were detonated in the course of this repair). Anyway, I ordered the insulation from this site, which was...

Oven did not keep correct or consistently correct temperature Keith J. • Antioch , IL • September 06, 2014
Online videos made this seem an easy fix. I unplugged the oven and removed the rear panel, then found where the temp sensor entered the oven. I unplugged the sensor's electric connector. Unlike the videos, this sensor screwed in from the inside of the oven, so I had to remove the 2 screws inside the oven which hold the sensor in place. Then I pulled the sensor out, careful not to tear the insulation with the wires and connector. Then I just pushed the new connector through the same hole and...

First of all Appliance Parts Pros is the best!! I would not have had the confidence to make this repair myself without their outstanding videos and Q&A sections on their website. And their prices for parts are very competitive. Like many stories on the website, my oven would heat up beyond the temperature set point. This range screw is an OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for gas stove burners. These screws attach the ignitor to the burner. Screws may corrode and rust during everyday use. Spills and accidents on the range top may leak down to the screws and cause them to become worn. Screws are not considered part of the ignitor kit or burner kit and will need to be purchased separately. If the screws appear rusty or corroded while replacing the ignitor, it is beneficial to replace them. It is a good idea to purchase the screws at the same time as the parts are purchased so that they are available when needed. A Phillips head screwdriver is necessary to remove and replace the old screws. Make sure the power and gas are disconnected before installing the new screws. This screw is made of silver metal and is a Phillips head screw that is sold individually. Verify the number of screws needed before ordering. This screw is designed for use in gas ranges manufactured by Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Roper, Estate, Inglis, Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air, and Crosley.
