Liquid-filled balance ring mounts on top of the spin basket. Replace if cracked, leaking, or detached to restore smooth spinning and reduce vibration.
I found that the balance ring had popped loose from the top of the inner metal tub and had been scored so that the fluid was leaking out. So, I removed the metal shell of the washer, then the top plastic cover over the outer tub. I pulled out the old part and put on the new one. I had to give it a pretty good push downward to engage the clips and get it fully seated. I ran my hand along the inside of the metal tub to feel that the new balance ring was fully seated. I also used a short level to... Read more
This tub support assembly holds the washing machine drum in place and includes the spin tube for water drainage. It replaces worn supports that cause excessive vibration, loud noises, or drum movement during operation. Install when your washer shakes violently, makes grinding sounds, or the drum feels loose.
I installed all the necessary parts that I received from you and it works great, now. I received the parts in good time without overnighting them. I had the whole washing machine apart and went through it all before ordering parts. Tear down and assembly was easy. I just took my time. The washer is 17 years old and was well built. It was worth it compared to what is on the market today, and cheaper. Read more

The washer lid switch actuator is a small component that triggers the safety switch when the lid is closed. Located on the washer lid, it presses against the lid switch to signal that it's safe to operate. Replace if the washer won't start even with the lid closed, or if it continues running with the lid open.
I ordered a door/lid switch kit and an actuator and replaced them both. I probably didn't need the actuator, but it probably didn't hurt to replace it. The only issue I had was that the switch didn't seem to fit that well when installed on it's own, along with the actuator. So, I used the plastic shield which I had, along with the switch and actuator, as well as the old screws, as the screws that came with the kit were not long enough to accommodate the switch, actuator, and... Made by Dacor.
Followed the dacor tech troubleshooting guide. In my case, while the F1 code was actively beeping, and with the control panel fascia tilted down for access, I removed the membrane ribbon conductor. F1 stopped. Reconnected, F1 re-started beeping. Repeated a couple times and it seemed membrane keypad was problem. Left it unplugged for a week, which proved no other error (like in the ERC) , so I purchased a membrane keypad and replaced. Hint. Put the entire fascia panel in the sun for an... Read more
