Dryer won't start or keeps tripping the breaker? A damaged terminal block disrupts power distribution. DIY repair typically takes 30-45 minutes.
Had to replace power cord and entire terminal assy. Read more
Dryer door won't stay closed or pops open during cycle? This mounting plate anchors the door strike for secure latching. Quick DIY fix with video guide.
We ordered a door switch, dryer latch and strike plate. We realized that we only needed to replace the door switch. We watched a few videos and then replaced the switch. We couldn’t find a video for our model but they did give us a pretty good idea about what we needed to do. The hardest part was getting the original door switch out, all of the videos we watched showed us that it would pop out with a little pressure from a flat head screw driver, from the front of the switch. We could not get... Read more
Dryer drive belt connects the drum to the motor for tumbling action. Replace if your drum won't turn or you hear squealing. Confirm fit with your model.
The Dryer is 10 years old GE Front Load DPVH890JEMG. The drum would intermittently not rotate at the beginning of a cycle and occasionally would rotate but then start and stop throughout the cycle. I did not check error codes, but the windings on the motor were black. So it seemed reasonable that the motor was overheating and sending a signal to the control board to stop. There is one screw under the knob and 9 screws on the front to get inside. I decided to replace the bearings, capacitor,... Read more
Replaces a broken, cracked, or damaged lint trap duct assembly in your dryer. Directs airflow from the drum to the exhaust vent and houses the lint trap.
Our GE front loader dryer is approximately 10 years old. It started making a loud noise. Before we sank another $600 for a new dryer, I decided to go online to search Youtube videos to try to find out if anyone else had the same problem. I found that a lot of dryers had drum support bearings that wore out and needed to be replaced and a lot of dryers were also having clothes caught up in them. I then found an Appliance Parts Pro video on how to fix this problem and found out what parts... Read more
Wipes lint and residue from the drum edge to maintain airflow and prevent buildup. Replace when worn, torn, or dislodged. Confirm fit with your model.
Selected and ordered parts from online drawings. Watched videos showing how to make repair. Replaced worn parts with new ones. Suggested improvement: Videos didn't show my model (I know there are many models, showing all is probably not possible). In case of Felt the video showed a Maytag dryer when my model was GE. In my case Felt had torn and dislodge from slot so I didn't know exactly how it should be installed. A simple picture of the installed Item would help. Also the parts list should... Read more
Dryer not heating or overheating? This safety thermostat (hi-limit L210) cuts power when temps get too high. DIY-friendly, 10-minute install with video.
Replaced the high limit safety thermostat. Ordering was easy, and the part came quickly. The video on the web site was helpful, although I was not able to follow the instructions fully. Unless you have super skinny, long arms, you cannot reach under and around the dryer tub to reach the belt tension arm. I ended up having to remove the side panel of the dryer to remove the belt from the motor. Replacing the thermostat was simple enough. At this point, it seems to have corrected the... Read more
Fix a dryer that won't heat with this outlet backup thermostat. Mounts on exhaust duct for over-temperature protection. DIY repair in under 1 hour.
Checked vent first to see if there was a blockage. Removed top, front and drum of dryer. Replaced all sensors including flame detection and gas valve coils. Re-assembled and tested. Dryer was now heating Read more
Secures dryer panels, brackets, and internal assemblies. Replace missing, stripped, or damaged screws to restore proper alignment and prevent vibration.
It was easy, I got the model number of my dryer, then I went on google and found your website. You got a perfect diagram of the door of my dryer. After I saw the video relate it to my problem, I purchased the parts that I need it to fix it, I didn’t need my husband to do it for me. I gave him a surprise after he got home for work. It was all done. Thanks Read more
Supports the dryer drum and reduces noise with felt seals. Replace when you hear scraping sounds or notice fabric snagging. Confirm fit with your model.
I replaced the slide bearings a few years back. A few months later the rear bearing started to go so I replaced that one. Bad idea. Replace these two at the same time. The wobbling from the rear bearing failure caused accelerated wear on the slide bearings. Without the money to fix it I ran it as it was. Another bad idea. The drum not only chewed through the slide bearings, but eventually the assembly as well. I replaced the whole assembly and rear bearing at one time a couple days ago. It was... Read more
Replacement screw secures dryer panels, brackets, and internal components. Replace stripped, lost, or damaged screws to eliminate rattles and maintain assembly.
I ordered two new baffles and 7 screws. I also ordered 6 large washers. We were running with one baffle held by only 2 of 3 screws. It appears that a repairman in the past had removed the large washers and over time, the screw heads reamed out the hole, causing the baffles to detach and break. In about 15 minutes, I was able to tighten up the existing baffle and add the two new ones. I also added the 6 big washers to help strengthen this to prevent future issues. I no longer have to listen to... Read more
Secures washer hoses at pump, tub, and valve connections to prevent leaks and hose blow-offs. Replace worn or missing clamps for a tight seal. Confirm fit.
The video was very helpful. the hardest part is getting off old rusted parts. I had to use a hacksaw to remove one of the old clamps. I had to open the bottom of the washing machine to remove of the other clamp. Putting the new parts on was easy. Getting everything apart was a challenge. Putting the new parts on was an easy 5 minute job. Read more
