Removing the door panel was easy -- remove 6 Torx screws, and the panel falls off. Next you need to remove an electrical plug and 2 individual wires from the old dispenser. The plug came right off, but the wires were not easy to access, and they fought me more than I expected. With some pliers and wiggling, they eventually let go and came free. Took off access panel, found leaking part. Looked it up with appliance pro and ordered the part, a new valve. Valve arrived in 2 days. I put the new valve on and we're back in business! The foam was shot on the detergent cup lid. Hard as a rock. Causing caking problems, dribble down the inside wall of the door and leaving lumps of detergent. Cut the door in half wit aviation snips and pulled out the two halves. Discovered at this point that the spring had gone soft. Bought one ahead of time, so I was set. Put the spring on the left pin, put the spring pin in the door, slipped the door into place (open) and put the right pin in with pliers. Door snaps open now. Read more

Research indicated that it may be a moisture sensor failure or a leak. It ended up being a leak from the oil seal on the motor shaft. A small piece of plastic made it's way into the system. The hot water softened it enough that it wrapped around the motor shaft, re-hardened, then tore into the shaft seal.
