The grommet was old and very caked with old dishwasher scum. So water was leaking through where the soap door latch goes into the door. I replaced the rubber grommet (and the plastic latch that came with the kit, even though the old one was probably fine). Fit perfectly and looked just like the old one. I had a over level water alarm. First I installed the level sensor and that did not fix the problem. Second I installed the Brake;DMT800,R. After installing the brake I had a leak detection alarm and could not get the dishwasher to reset so with the dishwasher still out of the cabinet and the metal plate off of the side. I first installed the inlet pump with no results. I then ordered a Control Switch and Float and Nut. This fixed the problem. Everything comes out so clean. Research indicated that it may be a moisture sensor failure or a leak. It ended up being a leak from the oil seal on the motor shaft. A small piece of plastic made it's way into the system. The hot water softened it enough that it wrapped around the motor shaft, re-hardened, then tore into the shaft seal. Ordered a new spray arm (because the old one finally broke into two pieces after falling off several times, and this time the arm melted next to the heat coils) AND ordered the new nut because of all the information posted by other users (thank you). Had to use pliers to get the old nut to unscrew, but once it was off, getting the new nut in was easy. Then popped on the new spray arm, and voila, the next load of dishes came out much cleaner! Yay! The problem was that the motor coupler & shaft had a tiny bit of rust at their union. With the weight of the ice bin it rusted in the lowest position. This didn't allow the motor coupler to float on the shaft. There is a spring inside the shaft that pushes up on the motor coupler keeping it engaged in the ice bin coupler above.
