I pulled the refrigerator out, removed the back panel, disconnected the fan motor. I did not know how hard or easy it would be to remove the fan from the motor shaft so I removed the motor with the fan attached and then removed and replaced the fan. This would not be necessary if you have a lot of strength, but if you need leverage to push the fan down on the shaft you might want to disconnect and remove the motor fan assembly too. Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. The dual inlet valve was the problem. The hardest part of the repair was moving the refrigerator so we could unplug it. The whole job took about 25 minutes and that includes the time we spent emptying and reorganizing the shelves. I love AppliancePartsPros.com. I first read some threads on the topic and figured out it was probably the ice maker. I found the part cheaper somewhere else but if it wasn't the problem I couldn't return it. I figured it was worth a little extra money to be able to return it if I was wrong and it was something else. I ordered the part watched the tutorial on YouTube , and replaced it. Water dispenser came down to a trickle and made a lot of noise, I changed the filter but it didnt help and thus the water tank/head assembly needed to be replaced. Replacing the water Tank/head assembly was an easy task, the hardest part is removing the covers and taking care of not breaking the insulation of the water inlet hose. Removed front panel from refrigerator door and replaced the ice chute door seal and also replaced the seal inside the door that seals against the ice maker. Read more

The new gasket arrived in a box half the size of the gasket so the gasket was folded to fit into the box. I hung the new gasket up for a couple of hours and then just prior to installation used a hair dryer as per included instructions to soften the gasket and minimize minor wrinkles in the gasket. The old gasket came out easily and the new went in easily. A 5 minute job in total. Read more

I ordered the part and it got to OH the next day. Following the video guideline it took me 15 minutes to remove the door, strip out the old seal and put in the new one. I have a Whirlpool Side-by-side Model ED22PWXBW01. A year ago, the ice cubes started freezing together in the rear of the ice bin for no apparent reason. Although the problem started off small, it gradually grew much worse, and finally I could see water dripping out of the ice mold and into the bin during the fill cycle. Had to take the back cover off. It was very tight to remove the fan that sat in the drip pan but did get it off, was able to apply the same level of cursing and got the new pan installed, installing the drain tube was a breeze. Found the parts price very reasonable. Hoping the Whirlpool redesigned the pan so I won't have to do it ever again. I was surprised at how bad the quality of their original part was. I replaced the auger motor. You have to remove complete ice maker. Everything is just like help video to do except yoke dispenser. I watched video several times. Yoke will not just tap loose, after 30 minutes of tapping, I was using screwdriver to brace. I used a Dremel tool to cut part of shaft, came off easy then. After that, the repair went great.
