Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You They are 20 year old   Bruce A. • Folsom , CA • March 19, 2018

This was more maintenance than a fix. I replaced the door gasket and temp sensor on my dryer. Thought what the heck and it might work more efficiently. I also replaced the shocks on my front loading washer. That was a bit of a chore, but could not have done it without the video that showed how to replace them. The socket was the life saver. All is working just fine. Who knows maybe I'll get another 20 year out of them. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dryer timer would not turn and knob broke from the strain   Bruce B. • Birmingham , AL • October 17, 2014

I ordered the timer and knob on Monday, they arrived around noon on Tuesday, and within an hour I had them installed and back in business. I was amazed how quickly the parts got here. The online video showing the procedure step by step was very helpful. Instead of disconnecting all the wires and having to keep up with which one went where, I moved each wire one by one and made sure I didn't get any of them in the wrong place. The only thing that slowed me down a bit was seeing which side of the... Read more

Dryer won't start or smells like burning? A melted or loose terminal block where the power cord connects is often the cause. Easy 20-minute repair.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Frigidaire front load dryer was beeping and i could not get display to go off it actually dried clothes fine but in middle of night the beeping would start unable to get error codes   Ronald B. • Haverhill , MA • September 11, 2015

Let me tell you that the videos made by AppliancePartsPros.com are what I needed most. They are simplified and complete. It turned out that because of a loose connection at the power terminal block, it over heated, melting the block and of course frying the wiring and distorting the connections. The erratic power supply must have damaged the control board. I ordered the terminal block and control board and although a little time consuming for a rookie, I got it working first time. I actually... Read more

Simply open the top of the washer by inserting a putty knife (watch YouTube ) and then the front panel by removing two bottom philips head screws on the front. The whole front panel comes right off. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The stem of the original switch had been twisted off   Benjamin R. • Seattle , WA • April 15, 2019

I removed two sheet metal screws to remove the panel above the washing machine lid. That exposed four more phillips drive sheet metal screws, after removing those the dashboard control panel is held by two smaller black screws slightly recessed in the lower corners. This allowed the panel to be pulled down from the top, revealing the back of the switch.
