This replacement part is an upper rack slide, and it is intended for use in different types of appliances. This is a genuine replacement part made by General Electric. This upper rack slide is an important part of many appliances. This particular one is typically found in dishwashers and helps guide the upper rack in and out. This allows the user to have easy access to the rack in order to place and remove dishes before and after the cleaning process. A new upper slide rack might be needed if the current ones are broken or damaged in any way. It is possible that these slides become stripped over many years of use and need to be replaced. If the upper rack is tilted or not sturdy while being slid back inside the main tub, the upper rack slide might be the problem. Be sure the dishwasher is completely empty prior to replacing this part. This is a genuine OEM part and is sourced directly from the manufacturer. This upper arm rack slide is sold individually.
