Spinner Kit
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: 8193983

The Spinner Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. The spinners are responsible for spraying water to effectively clean and rinse dishes. Over time, spinners may wear out or break, impacting performance. If your dishwasher isn't cleaning properly, inspect the spinners first

Symptoms of a failing Spinner Kit include:

  • Dishes remaining dirty or spotted after a wash cycle
  • Water not spraying adequately throughout the dishwasher
  • Unusual noise during the wash cycle as the damaged spinner struggles to rotate
  • Decreased water pressure affecting overall appliance performance

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

My discharge would not empty after a wash cycle and I always had gross gray water left in the bottom approx 3" deep? After doing the obvious things of checking the simp for garbage, and checking that the discharge hose wasn't blocked, I removed my discharge pump ( not too hard to do) and tested. My pump which did run and turn the impeller. However, the pump evidently had weakened with time and weakened and could no longer pump the waste water up hill to the "T" connection under the sink. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Loud running dishwasher followed by no sound at all   Jeremy M. • Denton , TX • February 15, 2016

My dishwasher was running super loud for several loads but appeared to be cleaning just fine. One day it went from super loud to hardly a sound at all, not even the sound of water. After finding this site I found others with similar issues and it pointed to the Circulation Motor. Normally I wouldn't feel comfortable with pulling the dishwasher out of it's slot and performing this type repair but after watching the video posted along side the pictures of the part it looked pretty easy so I took... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dishwasher was not filling up to normal level, hardly any water was coming in   James V. • Annandale , VA • August 31, 2021

First I cleared the food chopper area. There were things there, bits of plastic for instance, but it wasn't the reason for the dishes not getting sprayed off. The dishwasher continued to only partially fill and not circulate the water. I started the dishwasher, let the pump start and then opened the door and filled up the dishwasher manually. It sprayed water as it should, cleaning the top rack quite well. I figured the issue was not the float switch, since some water was coming in. So I... Read more

I ordered a new soap dispenser and began a new venture in repairing my dishwasher. I turned off the breaker that suppled power to the unit. I removed all the T-15 torx screws from the inside cover except one, which my wife helped me hold in. This prevents the cover from dropping off. Then, after removing those two, we closed the dishwasher cover, and lifted off the outside cover. That being off, I saw the two wires connecting the dishwasher dispenser solinoid. Removed them. Notice, that one... Read more
