Our 25-year-old range's original Oven Bake Element melted itself. When it happened it looked like someone was using an arc welder in the oven. This seemed to be a potential DIY repair, especially after looking at the cost of a new range. So we Googled the oven's model number (GE JBP21GS2WH) and AppliancePartsPros.com was the top search return. (Way to go, SEO!) Clicking on this link brought up a web page of parts specifically for our model number with the parts sorted by popularity. The Oven... Read more

This is a replacement screw that can be used with many different types of household appliances. Screws fasten various pieces of machines together. They can also help to reduce the amount of vibration in the machine. If a screw is missing or damaged, it could cause a machine to stop working properly, or to vibrate more than it should. The screws are made from metal and will typically last for a long time. However, the threads and other parts of the screw can wear down with use. The screws could also become lost when making other repairs to the appliance. Replacement of the screws is generally easy, but it will depend on where it is placed. This item can replace certain screws found in various models of ranges, ovens, dryers, and microwaves from General Electric, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, and Kenmore. This is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. Owners may want to have several replacements on hand in case they need them.
I was very pleased to get the glass on time and it was a perfect match. The only thing I had trouble was to get the screws required to fix. The screws were not available, so spend too much time trying find equivalent screws in homedepot. Read more
