The previous tenant in my daughter's new apartment apparently had a grease fire of sorts in the GE XL44 gas oven. Structural support bracket that mounts inside the range storage drawer cavity. Replaces broken, cracked, or worn supports that fail from heavy items.
Bought the drawer support, unscrewed the screw with a socket wrench, installed the new drawer support, wala! Took 1 minute. Moral to the story, don't overload that bottom drawer. Took top apart to find out that the problem was just the lens for the light was broken. Come to find out that the lens is what holds the light in place. Replaced above parts, easy to do, looks like a new stove. Needed to pry open knob stem slot segments very slightly to remove broken plastic from previous knobs. Spreading stem slot metal sides too much and they will break. With slots cleaned out, pinch stem sides almost together for new knobs to slide on.
