I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage. So I had to replace both the panel and the frame. I ended up removing the electrical/electronic connections, removing the panel/frame from the hinge and then replacing it with the new parts. Bot both sets of roller bearings, lower ones on the appliance and the set on the trash can that rolls out. I just followed the instructions that were in the roller bearing package and only needed the tools that are recommended. Was a little tricky with the nuts, really need a person with "small" fingers to reassemble the nuts back on the lower set of bearing that are on the appliance. All in All, went well and works. We called the phone number on the unit, gave them the model number and the price of the replacement handle including tax and shipping was $112.00. We then looked on line at Appliance Parts Pro and got the identical part including tax and shipping for $70.00. When the part arrived it took about ten minutes to remove the old handle and install the new one. Read more
