Oven wasn't preheating Paul W. • Jersey City , NJ • January 25, 2015
Had a repair person come into my home and he suggested a different ($200) part, labor would have been another $125. Seeing that it would cost almost $400 fix it, we were just going to buy a new oven. The next day, I called Appliancepartpros and spoke to someone from their support. I explained the symptoms and they suggested this $50 part and told me that I could return it, even if it didn't work. Figured I had nothing to lose. Based on the diagram they sent, I was able to fix the oven (I'm...

Needed new burner heads & orifices Kyle W. • Lansing , MI • February 19, 2017
In an attempt to clean the range from the grease-gunk build-up, I had to remove the burner heads. Unfortunately, the 2 most used burner heads had immovable screws that locked them into the orifices underneath. After numerous hours in attempts to salvage the old burner heads and orifices attempting to remove the immovable screws, I gave up. Checked Maytag's website for parts and found nothing. This genuine OEM replacement part is a switch membrane touchpad made for ovens. The switch membrane touchpad is the plastic display piece on the oven that holds the buttons that control the oven's essential functions. If the touchpad is worn out and the buttons are no longer responding when pushed, it might be time to replace the touchpad. Luckily replacing this part is not a difficult repair. To replace a damaged touchpad, make sure to turn off all power to the oven by unplugging the appliance or shutting off the circuit breaker. After the power to the oven is turned off, take a putty knife to pry off the old touchpad cover. Gently pull it away from the stove's control panel until it comes off. There should be enough adhesive left over to place the new touchpad back to its original place. Be sure to line up the touchpad so that it fits perfectly. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand ovens.

I could have ordered the part for less through an appliance supply store locally, but they did not offer any return option on electronics. I ordered through Appliance Parts Pros and they were very prompt in their delivery.

Part Number: WP9763716
This genuine replacement part is a gas valve for stoves. The gas valve is the part that attaches to the burners allowing for gas to flow through, creating the necessary conditions for the stove to produce a flame. If the stove is no longer sparking a flame, or the burners are not working properly, the gas valve of the stove will need to be replaced. Luckily, this is a relatively simple repair. To get started, make sure that the stove is unplugged. After that, remove the grates, burner caps, and burner bases from the stove. Then proceed to remove the control knobs from the stove. Using a screwdriver, remove the screws securing the orifice holders to the main top. Once removed, lift off the top panel of the stove. Lift the seal from the valve stem and detach the spark switch. Proceed to remove the tubing from the valve. After that, use a socket or nutdriver to unthread the screw to release the valve bracket from the manifold. Once this is complete, detach the old gas valve. Install the new valve by positioning it on the gas tubing and manifold. Thread the nut to reconnect the gas tubing to the valve. Proceed to reinstall the top panel of the stove. This OEM part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, and Roper brand stoves.

This genuine replacement part is a door lock motor switch assembly for ovens. The door lock motor switch assembly is the part that locks the oven door. The reason it would need to be replaced is if the motor or switch has failed and is no longer able to keep the oven door locked and secured when closed. This can happen due to excessive wear and tear over time. To replace this part, start by unplugging the oven. After that, pull the oven away from the wall and proceed to remove the upper back access panel of the range. Once removed, lift the panel off and locate the lock motor and switch assembly. Disconnect the wires from the motor and switch. Once removed, unthread the two mounting screws that hold the assembly in place. Remove the connection rod. Auto clean safety lock stuck in locked position Brian S. • St Pauls , NC • January 12, 2015
My appliance is a Whirlpool Accubake Wall Oven, single door. After using the tech sheet and measuring the ohms of the two micro switches that sends signals when the door is shut and locked, determined the lock was faulty. Pretty simple to change, the most difficult part was taking the digital face off of the oven without damaging the control board. TIP: take a picture of the latch switches to ensure you put the correct wires on the correct switch.
