For the complete ice door kit order W10823377.
The ice dispenser chute door had not been sealing for years. The ice cubes on the lower portion of the ice bin would melt enough eventually to then freeze up into a big, amalgamated blob of ice due to ambient air coming up the chute. This melt-then-freeze would happen, to the extent the chute froze to its own closure. Despite service technician visits over a period of six years nothing they did resolved the issue. I opened the freezer door to reach into the bin from the top to extract usable... Read more

This PTC start relay plugs onto the compressor to momentarily power the start winding and help the compressor spin up smoothly. Replacing a failed relay can stop repetitive clicking and help restore stable cooling performance. What it does:
After running some tests I determined that the problem was a bad defrost timer. The timer would occasionally fail to trigger the compressor to restart at the end of the defrost cycle. Since I had the unit taken apart, I replaced the termination t-stat and the compressor start relay at the same time. Parts came quick 1.5 days, job completed and the unit is up and running. Read more

I don’t think I needed the capacitor and relay, but while I was at it I figured I would. Originally we found we had an issue when water cane out of the ice maker. The freezer was hovering around freezing and the refrigerator was about 33 deg. I unplugged the refrigerator and it came back on and ran about a day. The next night, same thing. This time cycling power did not seem to help. Removing the rear cover where the control board was and moving it around allowed it to turn on next time I... Read more

Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Received the element very quickly but it had been damaged in shipping. Called AppliancePartsPros to report this and they quickly shipped another element - very easy process. To install the element, I turned off the power to the range, put on rubber gloves (just in case) and removed the two sheet metal crews at the rear of the oven -... Read more
This condenser fan motor spins the fan that moves air across the condenser coils and around the compressor. Replacing a weak or seized motor restores proper heat removal so the cooling system can maintain stable temperatures and run efficiently.
I found several "threads" on my google search which indicated that it might be caused by a non-functional condenser fan. I removed the back bottom panel and voila, the fan was not spinning even though the compressor was running and felt very hot. If I spun the blades, the fan would run, but as soon as the compressor shut off, it would not start up again without my help. The replacement part was easy to find at AppliancePartsPros.com. I ordered it and had it within 48 hours. I didn't even need... Read more

My Whirlpool refrigerator model GSS26C4XXF03 door wouldn’t swing shut all the way like it used to. So I changed the two lower cams. This cam #WPW10257203 was a perfect match but I needed to change the matching cam on the hinge, also, which require some modification to fit (I ordered cam #W11311687). The whole thing would have taken less than 15 minutes if I didn’t have to modify the other cam. Read more

Ordered new compartment door and replaced it in about 2 minutes. Suggest that owners of similar refrigerators move the compartment one notch down on the door so when the compartment door is left open and the refrigerator door is closed the comp. door does not come into contact with the refrig. interior light housing. Used kitchen knife blade to disengage hinge on either side of the compartment. This website was the only one I could find that had a cross index good enough to find my... Read more

This water outlet tube routes water within the appliance's water system, maintaining a secure, leak-resistant path to its outlet. Replace a cracked, kinked, or leaking tube to restore proper water flow and prevent leaks. What it does:
Replaced the tube. The original part number could not be found. This tube that we ordered had an curved connector at the bottom and a hard connector on top. The original tube had a right angle connector on the bottom and a smaller connector on the the top. The curve on the bottom worked. We had to cut the top connector off the tube for it to fit. We then secured it with the original metal bracket at the top. No leaks! All working fine now. Read more
