The Diverter Motor is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It controls the movement of the diverter disc, which directs water flow to different spray arms during the wash cycle. This ensures that all areas of the dishwasher receive adequate water pressure for effective cleaning.

Removed and replaced diverter motor. Ops check good, no more leaking. I'm guessing the seal was the problem but diverter ruined (water residue) from leaking over the last 5 years??? This seal is only available if you buy the tub so followed another review - removed diverter then gently pried out the seal, cleaned and then lubed with silicone grease. Also turned the seal 180 degrees or the opposite way before reinstalling the diverter and then wrapping it all back under the counter.
