Use the videos on this website here and you can repair most brands. Many are duplicate in design. 1. Unplug the machine. 2. Move it away from a confined area to get more room. 3. Remove lint filter and the two screws that hold the exhaust filter port to the top of the cabinet. 4. Use a putty knife or actually a butter knife and release the top of the cabinet from the main drum housing. You will slide the knife between the top and the main cabinet at the plastic catches. I purchased the lid latch assembly and the lid switch strike. Following the clear video instructions for each part, my handy teenage son was able to remove the lid latch assembly and replace it with the new part as well as the lid switch strike. This Maytag dryer was bought in 1985 if memory serves. It has worked hard with few repairs done by yours truly over the years. • Door won't close

I chatted with a rep on Appliance Parts Pros and found out which parts I needed for my model of dryer. Ordered the 2 clips that held the door closed. They arrived the next day!! My dryer was very different than the video but we were able to figure out which screws to remove. The old clips popped out and the new ones popped in. Took about 30 minutes because of there being a top and bottom clip to remove and replace and line up the door parts to screw the screws back in. It works great!! I... Read more

After searching and watching videos, I determined that the only way to fix my dryer was to replace the entire timer. I also needed a new knob for the timer. Unfortunately, you can not purchase just 1 knob, you have to purchase a package that contains 1 of each of the knobs on the panel. The repair was very easy! Followed the video- opened the front of the dryer and removed the drum. It was evident that one of the wheels had worn and wasn't turning freely like the other one. The video showed how to remove the roller. Very simple process and now the dryer works just fine. Read more

Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP.
