Replaced clutch assembly, gearcase input shaft seal and motor coupler. When I disassembled the washer I realized the shaft seal on the top of the gearcase was leaking and not the input shaft seal. So had to order more parts before I could finish this job. Altogether I replaced agitator dogs, both seals on the gearcase, the clutch assembly and the motor coupler. We initially thought the issue was the gasket at the base of the tub, but that ended up being okay. We replaced it just in case. In order to even get the agitator off, we had to drill through the agitator bolt. First dis-connect the machine from the mains electricity. To replace the timer remove all knobs except washing machine main knob; do not attempt to remove the main washing control knob yet or you'll break it. Remove the two screws and profile plate each side and beneath the control panel then, holding the control panel, remove two bolts at bottom of dryer door then lift dryer door then tip the console plate towards you - it will remain in place, hooked on machine casing. Replaced transmission (that was the problem) and clutch (if you're going to tear it down put in a new clutch - they're cheap). APPRO's video was a big help. Everything went as they showed except transmission does not just slide out. You have to work it in and out several times. Once it breaks free it will slip out. This was my first transmission. I had to remove my dryer so I could install a new floor. The dryer would not fit through the doorway with the power cord attached.
