Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dishes not dry at the end of the cycle. The heating element is not heating.   Richard J. • Watertown , SD • March 10, 2023

Performed diagnostic tests. Had code for no heat. I performed a continuity check on the element and found it to be bad. I replaced the Heating Element per the video directions they provided on their website. I also replaced the Hi-Limit Thermostat since I was in that area already. The dishwasher is repaired for a fraction of the cost of what I would have paid a repair person to do the work. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Arm spray on dishwasher   Beth N. • Brookings , OR • July 09, 2017

Funny, my husband did it. We have a service contract but you know how long that still takes. So he found the part at the bottom of the dishwasher and it had a number on it. He went to your site and and found the part. Yes it was a little cheaper else where like everything else but what the other sites didn't have he said was the video on how to do it. He explained he felt that takes money to produce so the few dollars more were worth it to him and he can be cheap. We had it in two days like you... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dishes weren't getting clean especially on the top rack   Rich S. • Custer Park , IL • January 22, 2023

The hardest part was getting on my knees to do the repair/replacement. It was obvious debris wasn't being filtered out when the water was recirculated. I noticed the accumulator wasn't seating right and found the plastic clips on the backside were bent and worn. The new part came within a day and a half. Everything either unscrewed and snapped together with no tools. You may want to use a flat screwdriver to take the upper arm tube feed loose from its clips but it can be done by hand. Done... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Integrated disposal blades disintegrated.   James S. • Noblesville , IN • September 12, 2020

I didn't know what was wrong at first. All I knew was that it was not cleaning well at all (especially top rack) and leaving food particles on everything. I was washing on power scrub with high heat and still poor cleaning. I suspected a clog so I pulled the dishwasher and removed the plumbing to check it out. I kept pulling apart, not finding any hint of a clog, until I got to the "chopper". I didn't know what it was supposed to look like but I knew that was not it. I ordered the part (got it... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Kitchenaid dishwasher would not complete wash cycle   John M. • Lillian , AL • July 31, 2016

This was a difficult problem to diagnose. Because the machine would start the wash cycle then shut down after a few minutes of running, it appeared that the cause might be a bad thermostat or heating element, but all checked out ok. That led me to believe that the control panel may be the culprit but it also appeared to be working correctly when I ran the diagnostics program. A visual examination of the components found that the door switch electrical connections looked discolored, so I removed... Read more
