Rich S Custer Park , IL January 22, 2023 Appliance: Maytag Dishwasher MDB4949SHZ0 Dishes weren't getting clean especially on the top rack The hardest part was getting on my knees to do the repair/replacement. It was obvious debris wasn't being filtered out when the water was recirculated. I noticed the accumulator wasn't seating right and found the plastic clips on the backside were bent and worn. The new part came within a day and a half. Everything either unscrewed and snapped together with no tools. You may want to use a flat screwdriver to take the upper arm tube feed loose from its clips but it can be done by hand. Done in about 10 minutes. Changing of the food chopper was the most difficult. Because it's underneath the dishwasher by the motor! After pulling out from cabinet area, replacing was fairly simple. Read More...
