With the basket out of the dishwasher, the plastic parts basically snap on and off... popped the broken parts off and the new parts on. I noticed the floor around the dishwasher was starting to get wet and warp the wooden floor. The chopper had gotten out of line and had cut a pinhole into the sump housing and the dishwasher was leaking badly. It was quite easy to repair.
