The washer is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool clothes dryers. This part is located on the drum roller support shaft in your dryer. The exterior of the washer is 1 inch in diameter with a hole in the middle and is made of metal. They are installed alongside the drum support rollers and idler pulleys. They help prevent the rollers and pulleys from bumping up against the brackets they are installed on. If you are replacing the rollers, we suggest you replace the washers at the same time. Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I looked inside and saw the teeth were worn off the "dogs" so I purchased the Cam Agitator repair kit and a new bolt. Getting the old bolt out was the hardest part since it was worn and rusted. I ended up having to buy a set of socket extensions and a set of stripped bolt sockets so $45 in tools and it took me an hour to get the old bolt out but putting everything back together was a breeze. Replaced the blower pulley. When the pulley spins off the blower shaft, it will damage the threads so it is important to replace the pulley and I would recommend using Loctite thread locker to keep the new pulley from spinning off. The threads on the blower shaft will most likely get damaged as well and I would recommend replacing the blower shaft. I did not order the blower shaft because it does not show up on a diagram and I had to go purchase a die to chase the threads before the new pulley... Read more
