The washer is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool clothes dryers. This part is located on the drum roller support shaft in your dryer. The exterior of the washer is 1 inch in diameter with a hole in the middle and is made of metal. They are installed alongside the drum support rollers and idler pulleys. They help prevent the rollers and pulleys from bumping up against the brackets they are installed on. If you are replacing the rollers, we suggest you replace the washers at the same time. Causes can be normal wear to bearing surfaces over extended use cycles. Accidental impacts may also potentially bend or damage shaft components. Symptoms of a bad roller shaft include:

Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP. I looked inside and saw the teeth were worn off the "dogs" so I purchased the Cam Agitator repair kit and a new bolt. Getting the old bolt out was the hardest part since it was worn and rusted. I ended up having to buy a set of socket extensions and a set of stripped bolt sockets so $45 in tools and it took me an hour to get the old bolt out but putting everything back together was a breeze. Dryer not drying or making loud noise? A loose or damaged blower pulley stops airflow. Use thread locker during install. 45-minute DIY repair.
Replaced the blower pulley. When the pulley spins off the blower shaft, it will damage the threads so it is important to replace the pulley and I would recommend using Loctite thread locker to keep the new pulley from spinning off. The threads on the blower shaft will most likely get damaged as well and I would recommend replacing the blower shaft. I did not order the blower shaft because it does not show up on a diagram and I had to go purchase a die to chase the threads before the new pulley... Read more
