Ordered a new flood switch and activation stem from Aplliance Parts Pros.com. Order was delivered in about 3 days. Installed new switch and stem in about 15 min. Removed front kicker panel with two screws, the switch was just inside the panel secured with two screws. remove the electrical connector, removed screws, replace the two new parts..put the screws back in place and ran the washer...no overflows. This was not an obvious source of a leak. The Tower Heater Assembly Nut developed a crack over time due to heat exposure. So the leak was gradual slowly getting worse over time. It was a hairline crack that ran down one of the edges of the nut making it hard to see. In talking to a pro he said it isn't a common problem.
