This is a French spring, or French divider door spring. It is used in refrigerators. This part allows the doors to open and close. It is located in the door of the fridge. A new French divider door spring may be needed if the door is stuck or is coming off of its hinges. This repair requires only a standard household toolkit. To replace the spring simply remove the old one and replace the part with a new, working piece. Be sure not to bend the spring while installing it as it will not fit in as the replacement part. This is a genuine OEM part. It is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold individually. This specific French Divider Door Spring is compatible with appliances made from General Electric.

They were excellent and one of only two or three places on the internet that carried the correct parts. Read more

Set the old flip panel window aside (the flip panel is more pliable without the window). Insert the new flip panel (without the flip panel window). Once in place carefully snap the "old flip panel window" in place. No tools were needed to install the new flip... Read more

You do not have to take the bottom pan off. Raise the side up and put a block of wood under it for safety. Take hacksaw blade or bolt cutter and cut off bent end off axle. Push out old axle. Install new one, crimp the end and your are done. 10 to 15 min. No problems at all. Read more
