Plastic water line that runs from the water valve to the icemaker fill tube. Replace if cracked, brittle, broken, or leaking at connection points.
Thanks to the AppliancePartsPro, I ordered it online and received it quickly. I even used the step by step directions on how to replace the tube from the AppliancePartsPro website. Just be very careful and review the instructions first. Couple of important things: 1. Take a picture of the existing wiring and tubes before you take them apart. 2. *if* you remove the wires ( red and white plugs) from the valve, make sure you plug them back in correctly. 3. Do not pull or push the tubes hard. Use... Read more
The recess door retainer secures the dispenser's ice chute flapper in the refrigerator door. Replacing a cracked or missing retainer restores proper flapper pivot and sealing to help reduce frost buildup and air leaks around the dispenser.
I replaced the solenoid, door, spring and bucket. The bucket cracked from ice freezing inside it. Ice froze inside the bucket because the solenoid stopped pulling the door closed which allowed hot humid air into the freezer. While I was in there I replaced the dispenser door, spring and crank because they are cheap and the old ones were moldy. The mold is most likely from the door not closing and causing condensation on the parts as well. Read more

Carries defrost water from evaporator to drain pan in your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, brittle, clogged, or missing to prevent leaks and puddles.
Replaced the drain pan below the evaporator coil (it was rusted to the point had a hole in it) and decided to replace both drain tubes since I had to open up the back panel. The video on the website was very helpful. Thanks!! Read more
Fix a light that won't turn on or flickers in your refrigerator. This E12 socket replacement is straightforward with our step-by-step video guide.
When diagnosing the problem, I discovered that the ice door was not properly sealing and that the solenoid had appeared to rust/corrode forcing the door open. I replaced most of the ice dispenser internals (solenoid, crank, door, and spring) following the video. The door will now open when dispensing ice (which it does!), and will oddly stay open for a few seconds once I am finished, but does seal properly and the chute/container no longer frosts over. Fix a warm Custom Cool drawer or knocking noise from the bottom compartment. This fan assembly restores proper airflow for faster chilling. DIY repair.
I replaced the fan and heater element. The replacement was not an exact match. I had to adjust the parts to get the harness to fit the plug was not the correct size. I cut it off and used the existing plug. Not a big deal and everything else fit. Pretty good for a twenty year old replacement. Also the heater element was a different shape but it fit as is. Fix temperature fluctuations and inconsistent cooling. This refrigerator control board regulates defrost and temperature. DIY-friendly replacement.
In the past the temperature would change from one day to the next, remain constant for weeks then start rising again. Would unplug for 5 – 10 min and adjust temp and would work fine. Now Refrigerator compressor will not shut off (has been running for the last 3 days) temps are 26F on freezer side and 43F on food compartment side. Checked evaporator and it has a great deal of frost on it but not frozen. Checked for continuity on the defroster heater and thermostat by going through the... Read more

Fix loud tapping or knocking noises and uneven cooling in your fridge. This air damper restores balanced temperature control. DIY repair in about 1 hour.
All my reading online pointed to the damper doors, and by standing in the open door of my fridge, I patiently waited until it happened again, and determined it was the ones behind the crisper. Problem was, there's both a single unit and a double set of doors listed on your part list. I decided to order both sets (and they came in two days, thank you). I watched your great video and even though my unit didn't perfectly match the one you demonstrated, it was close enough that I made the repair... Read more
