I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This assembly includes the motorized latch mechanism and integrated switches that lock and unlock the oven door during the self-cleaning cycle. It secures the door shut when the oven reaches high temperatures and signals the control board when the door is properly latched. Replace this part if the oven door won't lock or unlock, the self-clean cycle won't start, or you receive a door lock error code.
