I ordered the French door housing, the new piece has a solid raised curved part that enters the guide, and a new center hinge. I watched both repair videos shown on appliance parts Pro. It looked pretty simple, so I got my 2 screw drivers and unplugged the refrigerator and started. The hardest part was removing the upper and lower hinges. Personally I have experience working with electricity and knowing if I bought the part required this would be an easy fix. I heard a cracking sound so I opened the freezer again and found that it was s piece of plastic -- a small bar -- that had broken off of something. I went online, first to identify the broken part. My husband figured that the line to the icemaker was either clogged or had frozen over. We found some posts of people defrosting the icemaker by just leaving the freezer door open or with a hairdryer or space heater, but this seemed to be only a temporary fix so we didn’t do that. Lots of videos out there for Samsung through-the-door top icemaker as, but it was difficult to find any advice for our bottom freezer style (RF261BEAESR). Took the stove apart*, saw where the mouse had made a nest. It was kind of like a hotel room after a rock star had used it. It was nasty, is what I'm saying. I removed the insulation, which immediately went into a garbage bag and was placed outside, whereupon I took off and nuked the site from orbit. Ordered a new part. Watched a YouTube video. Fixed it in 15 minutes. Knowing you need to stop the connectors from slipping into the back of the oven was the key. I used paperclips to stop the wires falling through the hole. Easy as ... Read more

Replaced the blown heating element. I also only to be on the safe side, replaced the over temp sensor. I checked it with the meter when I pulled it out and it was ok. Tested ok. Thank you very much for the less than 2 day delivery on the part. Read more

Popped old one out easily and inserted new one. It is hard to tell from the product picture, but yes this part has the lever, face plate and rubber button included. Read more

First, I removed the old gaskets, which was a very easy task since they are held in the doors by rubber beads in recessed slots. I installed the new right door gasket in less than 10 minutes by gradually pushing the retainer bead into the door recessed slot with finger pressure until it was seated properly. The left door bead was somewhat more difficult to install into the bead slot, because the recessed bead slot is covered by a hinged flap on its left edge that doesn't permit easy access.... Replaced broken handle support bracket (part #AP5620448) and cap (part #AP5620751). Used a phillips head screwdriver and allen wrench. Pliers also came in very handy. If replacing cap and support bracket, be sure to install cap before support bracket, otherwise you'll have trouble installing the cap. I ended up not needing to replace the fixer handle (part #AP4372038), but I'll keep it around just in case. Read more
