Dead control panel. Oven would not start. Mike H. • Cotopaxi , CO • April 12, 2022
I have a Whirlpool RBS245PDQ12 wall mount oven. Gathering information from AppliancePartsPros.com resulted in two possibilities: The Thermal Switch or the Control Panel. Talking with Appliance Parts Pros led to testing the Oven Temperature Sensor. It's supposed to test at 1080 Ohms at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Mine tested at 960 Ohms so I knew it was bad... I found the service manual on the top of the Oven on the left behind the control panel. It has values for testing (Ohms of resistance)...

The Rear Oven Door Glass is an OEM part for Whirlpool ovens. This glass panel is installed on the inside of the oven door and is essential for providing a heat-resistant viewing window, allowing users to monitor the cooking process without opening the door. Measuring about 20 inches by 10 inches, this quality glass keeps heat in the oven and provides a clear view for easy baking.
Symptoms of a bad Rear Oven Door Glass include:
- Cracks or chips in the glass,
- Visible streaks or fogging between glass layers that can't be cleaned,
- A loose fit that may cause heat to escape or the glass to rattle during oven use.
Causes of rear oven door glass damage typically include thermal stress from high heat, impact from closing the door too forcefully, or accidental bumps with pots or pans.
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

I broke the oven door glass after running the cleaning cycle and wiping it with a damp cloth Carla P. • Keller , TX • March 14, 2015
Ordered the replacement glass through AppliancePartsPros.com and it arrived the next day. Wow! There are three pieces of glass (four if you include the front glass panel on the oven door when it is closed) layered inside and in looking at the diagram I ordered #7 and #24 replacement parts. I figured while I was in there the oven glass looked stained and maybe I would want new glass. With that said when the glass arrived and my husband and I got the oven door off and apart, we realized I...

Oven would only heat up to 347° f in bake mode Chris M. • Scottsdale , AZ • October 25, 2021
I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. It is impossible to access the bake element from the inside of the oven, so the How To video associated with this part will not help you. I had to remove the...

Stopped working while in self cleaning mode. Eberhard L. • Raleigh , NC • March 17, 2023
This is for the Whirlpool in-wall double oven GBD307PDS10. No power and the door locked after the shutdown before the self-cleaning cycle was over. I watched some video and this is a known issue the fuses blow during self-cleaning.
I opened the door with a 90-degree hook, an easy task. Took doors off (watch video from others), unscrewed from the wall, and made a very small platform. and took the oven out (need two people and take the doors off first. The doors are heavy and you won't lift the...

Shattered glass on the oven door Ben J. • Rio Rancho , NM • September 13, 2014
I was attempting to tighten the handle on my oven door which required removing the outer door panel. As I was very carefully setting the door down on my tile floor, one side slipped from my hand and the corner dropped literally only about a half-inch onto the floor and the glass shattered. My immediate thought was how much it was going to cost to replace my whole stove, but I was able to find the part in stock from AppliancePartsPro.com for a better price than anywhere else. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
This was a double oven, the lower cooling fan was making noise Richard S. • Greensboro , GA • January 12, 2020
It was relatively easy to replace it. Some suggestions:
1. Make a platform to support the oven when you slide it out of the cabinet. Make the platform sturdy because this thing is heavy. Make the platform the same height as the cabinet so that you can just slide it out and back in without having to lift it.
2. The fan is secured with about 5 sheet metal screws plus there are 3 screws on the top that the fan slides under when you loosen them. However you can't fit a screw driver in the space to...
