Directs water from inlet valve to detergent dispenser in LG washers. Replace if hose is cracked, leaking, won't stay attached, or damaged from wear.
I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. The inlet valve was okay but the screen had all kinds of crap in there that I couldn't clean out so now I have an extra solenoid just in case one of the others fails. While I was at it I removed the dispenser and cleaned the calcium build up on... Read more
Replacement suspension spring for washer tub support. Installs between cabinet and tub to absorb vibration. Replace if broken, stretched, or missing.
Our 10-year-old LG WM2487HWMA front load washer had gradually developed multiple problems. It sounded like a jet engine during high speed spin, both the drain pump and circulation pumps were noisy, it would not drain properly (water was coming in during spin cycle), no water was spraying out at the top of the door into the drum like it is supposed to when the circulation pump was running. It's amazing we had still been able to wash clothes at all! With the help of the excellent... Read more

Seals washer door to prevent leaks during cycles. Replace if worn, torn, or leaking. Verify your model and existing gasket drain hole configuration.
I had a slow leak from the very front of my LG washer, so I was pretty sure that it was just the gasket leaking, and not any of the hoses. It's not a complicated repair, with the usual confidence-inspiring video from Matt. There are three things to be aware of: 1) I originally ordered the wrong gasket. My model number is WM2277HW /01, which the APP website does not recognize. It only recognizes /00 or no suffix whatsoever. The correct part number for the /01 is 4986ER0004B. The easy way... Seals the temperature sensor where it passes through the washer tub. Replace if worn or leaking to prevent water damage. Confirm fit with your model.
After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a... Read more
Concrete balance weight mounts to washer outer tub to stabilize drum during spin. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to restore proper vibration control.
My problem was a broken spider. I followed your excellent video, but have some additional input that should be incorporated in a new video showing the required upgrade procedures and parts required to repair an early model with damaged front tub half using currently available parts. Don't expect everything to go as easy as the video. 1) Used 4lb. brass hammer to drive shaft from bearings. 2) Torqued spider bolts to 20ft lbs. with thread locking compound. 3) attached rubber seal to front tub... Secures the stator to the motor assembly in your washer. Replace if bolt is stripped, spinning freely, or missing to restore proper motor stability.
I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. This washer has to be completely disassembled to replace the drum, so mark all the screw locations, tag and bag everything and take lots of pics. It was a very rewarding project and hundreds of dollars... Read more
Secures washer hoses to pumps, tubs, and drain fittings to prevent leaks. Replace when weakened, rusty, or damaged to maintain tight connections.
I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Read more
This Screw (drawing) is a factory fastener used to secure appliance panels and components. Replacing a stripped, corroded, or missing screw restores a tight fit, reduces vibration, and helps keep assemblies correctly aligned.
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back... Replaces a frayed, melted, or damaged power cord on your washer. Restores grounded connection from wall outlet to internal power circuit.
Secures hose connections to prevent leaks in your washer. Replace if corroded, rusted, or leaking around hose fittings. Confirm fit by model number.
I went to your web site found the part using the model number of the washer machine. Also with the part picture, there was a video showing step by step instructions. They were very clear and was breeze replacing the hose.Doing this myself saved at least probably $150-200. Appliance repair shops quoted me around $80.00 just to come out. Then they mark up the price of the hose at least twice the cost of what I paid , They too have to order the part and come back to install. So the labor was what... Read more
