The Bake Element is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire electric ranges. This component provides direct heat from an internal coil or rods within the oven cavity, allowing for baking and other heated cooking functions.
Symptoms of a bad bake element include:
Causes stem from typical wear over years of heating use. Cracks in insulated surfaces or broken coil sections can cause inconsistencies.
This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with ranges sold under the Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and various Kenmore brand names.
Turns out these wall ovens have a pretty common problem, the baking element relay on the back of the control board solder joint fails. We have had this happen on several units recently as we manage several apt complexes. So it was not the baking element at all, just faulty solder joints or something makes the baking element relay lose its solder connection. Read more
Fix a burner that won't heat with this 6-inch surface element. Plugs directly into your range's burner receptacle. DIY-friendly, 15-minute install.
Removed the defective burner labeled the leads as to their location and coil connections. Replaced the connections to the corresponding locations, 1 to 1, 2 to 2 and the bridged terminal as it was. I noticed that the coils in the replacement burner were not wound in the same direction as the original burner and made note of this. I did not think much of this at the time, but on turning the power back on and lighting up the burners I noticed up they were not lighting up the corresponding... Read more
Oven not broiling or browning food? The broil element provides high heat at the top of the oven. Simple 5-10 minute DIY fix with basic tools.
Would advise before doing this repair to watch the video for it. It is not a plug in connection anymore like older ovens. The key is to keep the connecting wires from the oven from falling or pulling into the inner wall of the oven. The wires may not come very far out away from the wall of the oven so make sure to secure them. The video shows a good way to do that. If you have an in wall oven this is very important because it would hard and time consuming to pull the oven out of the wall to... Read more

My appliance repair guy checked out the problem, but the stack washer dryer required the contractor to dismantle the cabinet to allow the repair to occur. So i wanted the parts available for the repair, so we would not have to have the dryer pulled apart in a small space for an extended time i ordered the parts on Friday afternoon and they arrived at my home before noon on Saturday! Range has no model ID plate anywhere. Flip off electric at circuit breaker box. Opened top of range and noted details of the faulty burner, including confirm that outer coil was fried. The maker info on back of element was useless in finding replacement: more useful was general shape, and the numbers around edge on back. Close up range, since low heat element still working.
