• Too hot

Replaced upper and lower felts. Painted rubbing surface on inside of drum with refrigerator enamel. Took out drum and lubed rear bearing. Replaced 2 of the 3 thermostats, and the belt just on principle. Spent a lot of time with shop-vac removing lint from drier and exhaust ducts. Runs great and is no longer cooking or staining clothes. I've cleaned the drain tube numerous times. Always freezes and plugs. Added a defrost tab down into drain tube, missing from factory. This time defrost heater bad. Replaced heater, bi-metal switch and temp sensor. Great service and next day receipt of parts. Thanks ! Read more

Checked the heating element and found that it was shot so I bought a new one with out checking the thermostat and the cutoff-tml. I received the new element and it still wasn't heating so I had to wait another week for the cutoff-tml to be delivered. If your dryer isn't heating, make sure you check all parts of the heating system with a multimeter before you order new parts. Read more

When I looked on the Appliance Parts Pro website it said the usual fix for a refrig that is not cooling is to replace the defrost thermostat in the freezer. I didn't see how that would keep the refrig from cooling but I figured I would try it. Got the part yesterday ( two days shipping which was great!). For an emergency fix I installed a 3 in1 kit disabling the original start cap and wiring in the original run cap to the run winding. Ordered the proper PTC and overload from Appliance Parts Pros and installed them 2 weeks later. The original start and run capacitor were good, rewired back to design specs. The original PTC had pins 1,2 and 3, the replacement had 2,3 and 4. Only wiring change was to install the red wire from pin 1 on the original PTC to pin 4 on the new PTC. Read more

I took a multimeter and found out that the old fuse was open. I ordered this new one and popped it in. Pretty easy fix and it's still going strong. Read more

Our dryer seemed to be taking a long time to dry, often needing a couple cycles to complete the job. Then one day it stopped heating at all. After watching a couple videos and testing with a multimeter I figured out not only the thermristor had blown (can happen due to bad airflow) but also half the heating element was shot. After reading stories on this website I decided the problem was probably the control board. I ordered the sensors also just in case. The display has been dim for awhile so I got that also. I replaced the board and the display in less than an hour. It is working perfectly now so I never installed the sensors. I believe the board was ruined by a recent power outage.
