Timer Control Knob Parts

I replaced the Timer knob components. Removing the cover that contains the Timer was simpler than I anticipated. Just remove the screws on the top of the back of the machine. Hold the cover and lift up and push to the left (facing the front of the washer). Removed the Timer Knob Clip with small needle-nose pliers. I ordered a new detergent dispenser and control assembly, watched a few videos on you tube and dived in. The repairs were pretty simple once I got started and while I was doing this I went the extra step and cleaned out the drain. I would suggest doing this annually. Pretty simple to do and only 5 screws to get to the drain and the grinder. I purchased a new igniter for the bake assembly and found that it, unfortunately, did not resolve my problem. I measured the resistance of the different points on the gas valve and it was reading within spec so I then purchased this spark module and it did the trick. My gas range is a Kitchenaid kgsk901sss02. While trying to fix the problem I broke the knob. Appliance Parts Pros.com had the part delivered in 2 days! After looking at the video I decided there was a poor ground at burner #1. Removal of burner confirmed my suspicion. Years of use “spills” has insulated the burner from a good ground, thus preventing a good spark. Removal of black residue cleared the problem. I am now in the process of cleaning the remaining 4 burners just to be sure. Read more

Replaced the Main Control Board Assembly along with the evaporator and condenser fan motors. I thoroughly cleaned the very very dirty condenser with a 4$ brush offered by the parts specialist and while I was at it, I changed the door seals and replaced one of the door trays. Beats the crap out of spending $10,000 on a new refrigerator that because of Covid 19 wouldn't be here before the middle of November. Thank you Matt for your help! Read more

Based on an internet search, the likely problem seemed to be a bad timer-control switch because it would hum and click but not advance on a 17-year old washer. Repairman diagnosed the problem as a bad lid-switch-assembly and replaced it - problem solved. Now I need to return the Timer-Control. I followed troubleshooting guide and repair videos offered on website, ordered replacement oven control board and reinstalled unit using only a 1/4 inch nut driver. Easy fix for do it yourselfer in 15-20 minutes. Make certain to have model number of appliance when ordering. Parts are somewhat pricey but AppliancePartsPros. were much more reasonable than local parts supply houses or other sources plus they offered 1 year replacement even on electrical stuff. Read more

Replaced them but Jennair knobs are really cheap and I’m sure I’ll have to keep replacing them. Sad that such an expensive appliance has such cheap knobs. Read more
