With a Phillips screw driver, on the back of the control panel there was about 6 or 7 screws to undo, to take the cover off and 2 screws holding the timer in place. Just undone those, took out old timer, made sure I took wires from old timer one at a time, and, put on new timer. Put everything back, although I had to find a couple of very small washers to make the timer fit tight, in the 2 holes it came out of. Luckily I had those or would of been a very loose timer. Made by Bosch. Common program control module for Bosch dishwashers SHU53/68. NOTE The manufacturer has redesigned the cover and indicator lights. Lights may be covered by the plastic case. You may have to remove the square covers over the indicator lights if needed. The same case is used for 6 and 8 indicator light models. They also no longer use the red bulb indicator lights, small surface mounted lights are used instead. If you require the Jumper Wire that goes with certain models, the part number is 00167782.
This is a common problem with the Bosch product evidently. After watching the on-line instructional video, I ordered the control module from APP. The part arrived quickly and the replacement of the module was very easy. Within 10 minutes of starting the project, the dishwasher was repaired at a fraction of what it would have cost for a service call. Read more
This is a relay control board that manages power delivery to the surface burners on an electric range, including simmer functions. It receives signals from the burner knobs or touch controls and switches the heating elements on and off to maintain the selected temperature. Replace this board if surface burners fail to heat, won't maintain a simmer setting, cycle erratically, or if you receive error codes related to the cooktop elements.
1. I ordered a new burner. It didn't fix it. 2. I ordered a new burner switch. It didn't fix it. But still needed to be replaced because I cold see itt had burned out. 3. I checked the wires to the burner, then to the switch, they were all fine. I probably should have done this first. My last possible solution was the simmer switch board.
