Dispenser Switch Parts

I replaced both the probe and temp control. The problem came in calibrating the new control, the instructions that came with control did not factor in a double oven, called back and talked to Michael at tech support and he found proper instructions, walked me through the process and sent me a PDF file with all information needed. Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more

• Won't start

First, it was going to cost $95 for an appliance guy just to look at it! I figured there would be an upcharge on the parts + labor on top of the $95, so I took a chance & decided my husband & I could fix it cheaper; we were right, but it was a 3 week process (luckily, we have another microwave in the basement we were able to use in the meantime). After the part arrives, I was double check to make sure I got the right part. Importantly, unplug the electrical power first before do anything, also turn off the water hose for safety. Then removed 4 screw out side panel and 2 screw in side to get lose. After all, replaced a new part and put all panel and screw back together. Replaced the switch took a total of about five minutes. I pulled the stove out and turned the breaker off so I only had to pull it out enough to get a 1/4 " nut driver in behind it. Removed three screws and the back cover came off. I pushed the switch threw from the back and switched over the two wires then reversed the process. Completely easy if you can use a screw driver your crazy not to replace it yourself Read more

Replaced with ordered cover and new screws. Cover was a perfect replacement for original. Replacement took less than 15 minutes to complete. Read more

The parts are under the stovetop and the knobs are attached to them. We bought the correct ones from AppliancePartsPros, these were the correct ones. Seems we have an oddball stovetop. It's a GE drop in stove. The parts were easy to change. It was a simple matter of putting the wires on the new switch in the same place there were on the switch.
