I started by watching the video posted by couple of people on youtube on how to replace a microwave handle. After taking out the liner, I hit a roadblock with unscrewing the handle screw. The grip on the front side had basically melted causing it to be loose, so the screw and the plastic part would rotate together. Got the infamous icemaker freezing up problem so common to Frigidaire Gallery and Professional series refrigerators. I replaced the water level sensor on the side of the dishwasher. Had to completely take out dishwasher and set on its side. Removed three hose clamps and three electrical disconnects. I have hard water and it looked like the float inside of the sensor wasn't moving properly. Read more

Put both thermostats in as I did not know if the unit was cycling on high limit at times. Fixed both issues plus I used my lawn blower and blew all the lint out of dryer and short 3' hose. I also lubed rear drum bearings. Works like new. Ron R Read more

After reviewing various posts on the internet, I tested the high heat temperature limiter and determined it was faulty due to lint buildup. I have a Bosch nexxt 500 series dryer that stopped heating. It was still running fine, just no heat. I did some research and found the Limiter as the possible problem. I pushed the red reset button. The dryer started heating up, but with in 1 cycle kicked off again. I called A.P.P. and spoke to Cecilia. She was very helpful. I have order three parts, guide filter, cover guide, and sensor assembly. My previous cover guide was from two parts, when sensor assembly was one of them. New part ( guide cover ) was all in one piece so I just transfer old metal part of sensor to new cover guide and I don't need that sensor assembly anymore. I have ordered all three parts overnight by Fedex, ordered 15 min before 5pm, so next day it was here. Dryer is fixed, I'm happy. Read more

I checked the continuity on the thermal fuse (which was blown) and knew that it needed to be replaced. This made me question why it blew (i.e. what caused it to fail). I checked continuity on the thermostat (high limit) as well as the thermostat for the element. Both passed a continuity test, so I removed the high limit thermostat to inspect it and could hear it rattling inside. Like a boss! Seriously, removed oven from wall (2 screws), removed about 15 sheet metal screws from front and top covers, unplugged wire harnesses one (or a few) at a time. Reassembled. Hint. Take a picture of wiring before removing and mark old parts (especially thermal fuse) with sharpie before removing so you don't get confused.
