Took out old timer, and upon inspection notice some electrical arcing( burned areas). I installed new timer and worked perfectly. Problem was that it would fill up with water, but after it was filled the timer kept going but washer was not agitating. Only thing that worked was delicates wash. The basin would fill but would not agitate, there was no sound, no grinding noises, no sound of a motor running without agitation due to a broken belt. The basin full of water was able to drain if I advanced the timer to Spin. By playing around with the timer dial further, I could get every function of the washer to operate, at least partially. The freezer would cool down to 0 degrees after being plugged in but once it hit zero the freezer failed to keep it there, it would warm back to room temp. I ordered the cold control knob and it came very quickly! It did come with directions but failed to address what terminal you plug the black and yellow wires into. Oven is a slide in. I pulled it out just a Few inches and removed 8 screws and Pulled the face down to expose the unit. The control unit had 4 screws and 4 Plugins. It only took me less than 10 Minutes to replace unit and slide back In place. Read more

Replace the thermostat kit. Watched a video on youtube and followed directions! So EASY!! Paid a repairman $250+ to replace the thermostat a couple of years ago. BTW - This repair was made by a woman - who says only guys can fix things!!! Read more

• Freezer not defrosting

I had had the same problem 4 or 5 years ago and spent close to $200 to repair it. I did have the slip from that repair with part #'s so I went ahead and ordered a defrost timer and thermostat. You-tube had plenty of videos on replacing those parts and even before they arrived I was able to add a switch and bypass the broken thermostat and start a cycle manually with the timer. I don’t think I needed the capacitor and relay, but while I was at it I figured I would. Originally we found we had an issue when water cane out of the ice maker. I contacted Appliance Parts Pros, and told them what the problem was and what it was doing. They sent me an email with the parts number needed to complete the repair. This was a built in a cabinet unit and I required help removing it and reinstalling it. The repair was relative easy once I had the parts and it took approximately four hours,. I order both boards because everyone said one board did not fix the problem, until they ordered the other board because the new board does not communicate with new one. Well I replaced the board behind where the error was. That seemed to fix the problem. I never changed the main board under the fridge. So I would say try ordering the board behind where error code is. See if that fixes the problem before ordering both boards. Read more
