If your washer won't advance cycles, runs continuously, or only works on delicate, the timer may have failed. DIY-friendly repair in 15-20 minutes.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My maytag washing machine model# latxxxxaae would not agitate on wash cycle   William C. • Grafton , MA • February 03, 2015

The basin would fill but would not agitate, there was no sound, no grinding noises, no sound of a motor running without agitation due to a broken belt. The basin full of water was able to drain if I advanced the timer to Spin. By playing around with the timer dial further, I could get every function of the washer to operate, at least partially. So, that said electrical problem to me. I assumed the trouble was either the safety switch at the back of the lid or the timer mechanism. Tested... Read more

I had had the same problem 4 or 5 years ago and spent close to $200 to repair it. I did have the slip from that repair with part #'s so I went ahead and ordered a defrost timer and thermostat. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Compressor tried to start after defrost & stops quickly freezer temp too warm.   Michael B. • Concord , NC • March 29, 2021

I don’t think I needed the capacitor and relay, but while I was at it I figured I would. Originally we found we had an issue when water cane out of the ice maker. The freezer was hovering around freezing and the refrigerator was about 33 deg. I unplugged the refrigerator and it came back on and ran about a day. The next night, same thing. Relay Board
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB27X32849

The Relay Board is an OEM part for GE microwaves. It controls the passage of proper voltage levels for various microwave components during operation.

Installed internally, this board transmits power signals to run the magnetron, fan, and lighting systems as directed by the selected cooking settings. Precise switching of voltages is required for consistent and balanced microwave radiation.

Symptoms of a faulty relay board include:

  • Intermittent or unpredictable power level adjustments
  • Magnetron fails to turn on or fluctuates excessively
  • Light not illuminating properly
  • Fan speed irregularities
  • Microwaves not properly heating foods

Causes can be damage from liquid intrusion, heavy usage over time stressing the relays, or component failures within the board itself.

Replacing with this genuine OEM GE part restores optimized power routing to maintain consistent microwave functions. Compatible models also include some Hotpoint, RCA, and select Kenmore products.

Electronic Control Board
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10677119

The Control Board is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool bottom-mount refrigerators. It serves as the electronic control module located inside the unit.

Symptoms of a malfunctioning control board include:

  • Failure to achieve proper refrigerator and freezer temperatures
  • Sensors, displays, or timers showing inaccurate readings

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Had error code sy ce.   Robert G. • Rockwood , PA • October 16, 2019

I order both boards because everyone said one board did not fix the problem, until they ordered the other board because the new board does not communicate with new one. Well I replaced the board behind where the error was. That seemed to fix the problem. I never changed the main board under the fridge. So I would say try ordering the board behind where error code is. See if that fixes the problem before ordering both boards. Read more
