Only 1 wire was difficult to remove and required gentle rocking with pliers. Put the overlay on the new board. Placed all the clips and wires back on the new board. Turned on power to test. Tested ok. Turned power off and resecured the board and back on the stove. Repositioned the stove. Turned power back on. I...

Dryer timer faulty Whirlpool ultimate care ii Sabine S. • Bellingham , WA • December 05, 2023
My dryer would only start (and keep running) after a lot of fiddling with the timer to find a position that "worked." The machine wouldn't turn on when the timer was set in the dry-sensor region, and eventually, it stayed running only when we pressed the timer button. As soon as the pressure was off, the dryer stopped. Clearly that wasn't sustainable.
I'd been putting off the repair because our dryer vent situation is tricky; once disconnected it's a real bear to reconnect. Watching the...

Frigidaire electric dryer in auto dry when started the status would immediately change from drying to cool down in timed dry status drying stayed lite but no heat Keith N. • Hooksett , NH • September 19, 2014
Downloaded the Frigidaire Service Manual for Electric 5.8 cubic foot dryer from the ApplicanePartsPro.com forum. Used its information to check for error codes. None display. Ran the function test sequence. All the tests OK.
Used a mutli-meter to check the circuit to the moisture sensor bars inside the door. Thought maybe the circuit could be open due to a loose plug or broken wire. This could signal the control board that the clothes are dry. This all checked OK.
Since the top four...

Freezer was cold but refrigerator was warm John H. • Chehalis , WA • July 13, 2015
This issue was with a refrigerator that we acquired with a house we bought. The freezer was cold, making ice well, overall doing great. The refrigerator was not cold however. I had this issue with our own refrigerator in the past, and it was related to the defrost fan not working and the coils freezing up. However this refrigerator's coils had no ice buildup. Doing some searching on the internet I was able to narrow it down to the damper between the freezer and refrigerator not opening...

Upper panel fascia on Bosch dishwasher was torn/ripped from use. Howell T. • Little Rock , AR • November 12, 2018
Ordered the part (surprised it was even available after such a long time). It took my wife and myself to figure out the how to do the replacement..since there were no specific instructions. We discoved it along the way and did not break anything else. Took about 15 to 20 minutes to get it done. We would have been spending $700 to replace the dishwasher had the part not been available. Our cost was $70.

The insert and facade of the water & ice dispenser had two broken buttons (bad design) they are intended to break Louis A. • Beaumont , CA • August 23, 2015
1. Purchased a new Facade. The removal of the old one was relatively easy except that the two screws that hold it in place (behind the spill tray) were rusted (they should have used stainless steel ones) one came out with a vise grip but on the other I had to buy an "Easy Out" tool from Home Depot, once out the unit drops down. Had my wife hold the new unit, swiped the wires from old to new, removed the control board from the old one and installed it on the new one with one screw and cleaned...
