Electronic Control Board
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10677119

The Control Board is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool bottom-mount refrigerators. It serves as the electronic control module located inside the unit.

Symptoms of a malfunctioning control board include:

  • Failure to achieve proper refrigerator and freezer temperatures
  • Sensors, displays, or timers showing inaccurate readings
  • Unpredictable fluctuations in cooling performance

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Had error code sy ce.   Robert G. • Rockwood , PA • October 16, 2019

I order both boards because everyone said one board did not fix the problem, until they ordered the other board because the new board does not communicate with new one. Well I replaced the board behind where the error was. That seemed to fix the problem. I never changed the main board under the fridge. So I would say try ordering the board behind where error code is. See if that fixes the problem before ordering both boards. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Blown oven igniter went "poof!" with smoke at end of bake   Peter M. • Salt Lake City , UT • March 04, 2022

So initial thought was bad bake igniter. I'bve replaced this before so I replaced it again and it wouldn't glow. Checked broil igniter and same thing, no glow. Checked voltage at molex connector for bake igniter and it went from 6.6v to 3.4v when triggered to glow -- well below the 120v expected. Ordered new clock/controller and overlay -- it shipped the next business day! Removed a handful of screws from the back panel to expose the clock/controller and removed/ replaced it with new... Just as the folks in the comments section said, I tested everything to make sure the timer had power which it did. I then tested with the OHM tester and saw that the switch was open when the timer was set to any drying cycle. So i changed the timer and voila! timer is functioning again. It was a very easy fix. Just pop the four screws out of the back of my timer panel on the dryer, detach all the wires, lift up on the little bracket that is holding the timer in place and twist it, and it... Read more
