The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. I removed the lid to get to the two philips head screws to remove that part of the shut-off switch. I took the new switch out of the package and compared it to the old switch. The timer knob simply pulls off the shaft with a solid, steady pull. Cleaned the timer cavity of lint/dust buildup. Aligned the keying flat of the shaft and knob and pushed the new knob on with careful, steady pressure until it was obviously seated. No tools required other than a vacuum. The door switch would sometimes not shut the dryer off when the door was opened. New switch came with new fast-on connectors. Shopped online and found your great website, read reviews and based diagnostics on similarities I saw in other peoples stories. So I was able to choose correctly when replacing the circuit board. As far as the water switch in door, and drawer parts I just replaced them because I was tired of gluing them, and knew that with everything working good again and looking good, that it would be like a Tune up for our refrigerator. Replaced the Thermistor Assembly and also picked up Overload Protection circuit per the comments posted by the "experts" on the web site. Both parts cheap enough. I ordered parts at 3:30 in the afternoon and they showed up the next morning from half way across the country. Outstanding service. It also fixed the 9 year old refrigerator. My refrigerator is 13 yrs old and began to build up frost in the ice cube shoot and the water tube began to freeze up over night. The flapper door was not closing completely. I simply removed the control panel by pulling up and out on the bottom edge, the edge is only about 1/8 inch thick, so don't reach in to far.
