After 5 igniter replacements, I've gotten pretty good at this. Less than 30 minutes start to finish -- including mopping under the range, etc. You need one hex driver for the whole job -- 3/8" I believe. 1. Remove all of the racks and the oven door. Remove the bottom panel inside the oven. Now unscrew the flame cover (4 hex screws), remove, and unscrew the old igniter (2 hex screws). 2. Pull the oven away from the wall. I have used this site before to fix my dishwasher, so I knew to check here first. I searched other's comments to troubleshoot my problem. Ordered the part and it arrived in only a couple of days. I should insert here that I am a 45 yo female, so if I could do this, anyone can. I watched the video and proceeded to replace the part. I first ordered a thermostat and ignitor and replaced and that did not work. I asked Appliance Parts Pros their opinion in the chat and they said it was the coils in the gas valve but you had to replace the entire valve as the coils are not sold individually. So i ordered the part and also replaced the thermistor and drum belt while i had the dryer apart anyway! And this fixed the problem! Changed ignitor. Ordered new ignitor by just putting dryer model number in the search box. When I opened the dryer up and took the old one out I was originally upset. The meter read 73 ohms. I was expecting OL (open line). The new one read 273 ohms so I put it in. Dryer works now. The install video’s are old. It was much easier than the video’s showed. Ordered everything from AppliancePartsPros.com and they were helpful, reliable and friendly in our interactions. Can't recommend them more for a vendor. First go get a ton of stainless steel sheet metal screws - about 20 phillips head and 20 nut driver. a drill with a phillips bit and a nutdriver bit and a zip tie and a phillips screw driver and a socket and an extension bit. Replaced the ignighter and gas safety valve. Have to remove knobs, front panel and grill housing to access these parts. Read more

The bake (bottom burner) worked after replacing the ignitor. Becareful and do not drop the ignitor or the element will break. I found out the hard way. I bought the first ignitor at a local appliance store. After breaking that one, I found another at appliancepartspros.com for $20 cheaper. Thanks appliancepartspros!!! Read more

The oven would not heat up but the broiler and stove top burners all worked so I replaced the igniter. The part arrived quicker than I expected - one day with regular shipping - and the repair also went much quicker than expected. After accessing the igniter I was able to unplug the plastic modular connection. Instead of pulling the oven out from the wall - which would have been a huge pain - I was able to reach the plug by removing the bottom storage drawer under the oven. From there it was... Read more

Replaced the igniter, Simple but there are several points to remember. TURN THE POWER OFF 1) remove the oven door or you will have a hard time reaching the back of the oven. Mine just lifted off. 2) The igniter tip is fragile put a drop cloth over the oven floor in case you drop it even after it is in its holder. 3) The drop cloth will catch screws too if you drop them so they won't fall into the oven. 4) The cable from the oven is very short even after pulling it out from the hole at the back.... From YouTube videos I was sure the issue was a blown igniter. There were numerous examples of how to replace the igniter on YouTube and the repair was pretty easy. Getting at the igniter was a bit awkward and I had to disconnect gas to get access to back of oven but the whole process only took 20-25 minutes. Read more

After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver. My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. Replaced the gas regulator and the oven igniter. It was not a very difficult repair.. most of the parts were easy to get to. The biggest challenge was disconnecting the gas hose from the regulator. It had "pipe dope" (sealant) on the threads. I reconnected with yellow gas pipe tape. Read more

Found a hole in the burner tube next to the igniter. Replaced both igniter and burner. Very easy repair. Works great now. Read more
