Ice maker stopped making ice or motor not turning? This refrigerator ice maker assembly automates ice production. DIY-friendly replacement part.
Our icemaker hasn’t worked in years, which is very frustrating because I have three teenagers that drink iced coffee every day. I have to fill ice trays or buy ice daily. We had an appliance repair person come last year and replace the water inlet valve and it did not fix it. I was hoping to surprise my family by fixing it myself. I noticed that the icemaker itself had a little white cord that was frayed. It actually looked like it was cut so I was sure that that was what was causing the... Read more

Ice maker not ejecting cubes or stopped making ice? This complete assembly restores full ice production. Simple 10-minute DIY fix with just a screwdriver.
Replaced the entire ice making unit. It was a very simple project. The original ice maker is held in place by two screws at the front and some tabs in the back. Removing the screws allowed the unit to come free from the tabs and drop down. We simply released the wiring clip, removed the broken unit and reversed the process. The repair took about ten minutes and is something I have never done before. I am guessing we saved over $100 by ordering from AppliancePartsPros.com and doing the job... Read more
