Replaced the entire burner. Four screws to remove front hinged pane lon front of stove One screw on each end of support bar for burners, Two clips holding burner on support bar. Two connections to burner. Four connections to thermostat.Remove all and replace in reverse order. New part requires one jumper wire on burner.

Simple replacement of the heating element. Found multiple videos on youtube that show how to to do this repair. The cooktop is easily opened by removing 3 screws, but I recommend having a second set of hands when performing the repair because you will have to hold up the glass stove top and unscrew the components. So I ordered the burner and Ithe switch because I wasn't sure what part was defective. I pulled the oven out and I removed the 6 1/4 inch screws on each side of the glass top as well as the 2 Phillips head screws on the back, removing the 2 1/4 screws on the shield on the back gIves you easier access to them, then lifted the glass top up on the front to access the switch and burners. underwire from a bra (C-cup I think...) had shorted it and caused a break. Replaced heating element
and ... still no heat. Found that one of the fuses had no continuity also. Replaced the fuse and everything working fine.

Turned off the oven power at the breaker box. Removed the (2) 1/4" screws holding the front support bracket and removed the front support bracket. (This bracket is necessary as the broiler element is in the top of the oven)
Then I removed the (2) 1/4" screws holding the element against the back of the oven, gently pulled the element away from the back of the oven to expose and unplug the (slip on) electrical connections, and removed the burned out element.

Whirlpool convection oven. Access to convection element from inside. Three screws to remove plate covering fan blade. Then one screw to remove element bracket. I placed tape over the holes with the wires so they wouldn’t pull back into the panel. Remove old element at tabs and replace. Very easy fix. Removing door to oven made it easier to get to but not necessary.
