Symptoms of a malfunctioning control board include:
- Failure to achieve proper refrigerator and freezer temperatures
- Sensors, displays, or timers showing inaccurate readings
- Unpredictable fluctuations in cooling performance

I found the part on Appliance Parts Pros and found it on my doorstep 2 days later (even though I only used the standard shipping option). Although Appliance Parts Pros did not have any instructions about how to install the part, I found a youtube video by ApplianceVideo.com that explained the procedure in sufficient detail. I recently changed our above the range microwave to vent outside but when there are strong winds against the outlet cool air came in this is an extra block against air intrusion James D. • Downingtown , PA • October 31, 2015
This damper was added to the outside vent duct line as an additional block against outside air intrusion. Under spousal orders I had just changed the microwave vent to the outside (the proper way to go, but much more difficult to accomplish) but then there was some "flowback" when the wind was pressing against the back of the house (westward facing), and I was ordered to reduce this flow before the winter arrived in full force. There is this same damper on the microwave unit itself, but I...

Refrigerator and freezer not cooling. Tom C. • Dorchester , MA • March 06, 2021
Tested start relay and fan with multimeter both passed.
The condenser would start only if the thermostat was on the highest setting and the refrigerator would cool for a while, stop and not restart unless I adjusted the defrost timer. Decided to replace the thermostat, defrost timer and defrost thermostat. The refrigerator is working as expected. FYI on a Kenmore 59669142992 the defrost timer is located under the freezer in the front right.
