Replace this board if the washer displays error codes, fails to start, stops mid-cycle, or if buttons and cycle selections are unresponsive.

F11 and eventually dl (door lock) error codes prevented proper operation of the kenmore he4t washer Daniel A. • Saint Johns , AZ • June 01, 2015
After unplugging the washer from the electrical outlet, the top of the washer was removed without a problem in order to allow easy access to the Central Control Unit (CCU) at the top of the back end of the washer. A cell phone was used to photograph the wiring layout and connectors plugged into the CCU, and then all connectors and the harness were carefully removed from the CCU without incident. Attempting to remove the old CCU, the plastic retaining clips built into the old CCU housing broke...

The Control Board is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool bottom-mount refrigerators. It serves as the electronic control module located inside the unit.
Symptoms of a malfunctioning control board include:
- Failure to achieve proper refrigerator and freezer temperatures
- Sensors, displays, or timers showing inaccurate readings
- Unpredictable fluctuations in cooling performance
- Inability to adequately regulate humidity levels
Causes of a bad electronic control module often include failure of internal temperature or humidity sensors over extended use. Exposure to rapid fluctuations in conditions inside the fridge can potentially damage circuitry.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, and Kenmore bottom-mount refrigerators.

No power to refrigerator Gregory W. • Longmont , CO • June 28, 2016
I called a local appliance service person, who diagnosed the problem as a bad main power board and offered to fix it for a substantial sum. I found the part on Appliance Parts Pros and found it on my doorstep 2 days later (even though I only used the standard shipping option). Although Appliance Parts Pros did not have any instructions about how to install the part, I found a youtube video by ApplianceVideo.com that explained the procedure in sufficient detail. The entire repair start to...

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
I recently changed our above the range microwave to vent outside but when there are strong winds against the outlet cool air came in this is an extra block against air intrusion James D. • Downingtown , PA • October 31, 2015
This damper was added to the outside vent duct line as an additional block against outside air intrusion. Under spousal orders I had just changed the microwave vent to the outside (the proper way to go, but much more difficult to accomplish) but then there was some "flowback" when the wind was pressing against the back of the house (westward facing), and I was ordered to reduce this flow before the winter arrived in full force. There is this same damper on the microwave unit itself, but I...

Refrigerator and freezer not cooling. Tom C. • Dorchester , MA • March 06, 2021
Tested start relay and fan with multimeter both passed.
The condenser would start only if the thermostat was on the highest setting and the refrigerator would cool for a while, stop and not restart unless I adjusted the defrost timer. Decided to replace the thermostat, defrost timer and defrost thermostat. The refrigerator is working as expected. FYI on a Kenmore 59669142992 the defrost timer is located under the freezer in the front right.

Broken electronic control board. John B. • Schoharie , NY • October 23, 2020
My dishwasher just stopped working one day. I know my way around tools but wouldn’t call myself a “handyman“. When I opened up the front panel on the dishwasher I saw that the Control board was black and some of the wires had burnt through. I looked around YouTube and found some videos on how to replace the control board and wire harness, and then ordered the parts from appliance parts pros. All in all, it was an easy fix and took me a couple of hours to install the new control board and wire...

Ordered a new Oven Control unit and an Overlay (ours was punctured in a few places -- old and brittle). Opened the stovetop and removed some screws from the front control panel area. Followed the advice from Appliance Parts Pros' video to take a photo of the locations of all the connections on the old panel before removal -- that was an instrumental step to the success of this project!
