About 9:30 pm on a friday night two weeks ago i noticed my freezer part in the refrigerator was not holding the cold and ice cream had become liquid! Hemant P. • Arlington , VA • September 12, 2014
I have a Maytag Model PTB1952GRQ Serial Number 11003378AJ Top / Bottom refrigerator. It suddenly stopped working and would no longer be freezing / cooling as a result of a failure of the compressor not starting. I was very upset and went to the web site of appliancepartspros.that had a lot of helpful information available. I also visited many other sites and researched / read and looked at all kinds of information on the we sites. A lot of information was pointing to the fact that the...

It allows you to select and maintain a specific temperature setting for the burner. Replace this switch if a burner stays on high regardless of the knob position, won't heat at all, or provides inconsistent temperatures.

Burner won't spark or ignite? This ignition switch controls the spark module for gas range surface burners. Mounts on the valve assembly behind knobs.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
1 burner was not igniting the sparker on a low end 20 year old GE stove. Benjamin F. • Villa Park , IL • January 09, 2022
Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used.
At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. When the U is right side up, the gas is off and so should the igniter. The gas valve shaft position couldn't be changed, so instead, I re-mounted the...

Ge dishwasher door would not latch closed and would not turn on Tom O. • Westfield , NJ • January 17, 2016
Bought the 5 components that comprise the latch and switches, installed them and it works fine now. The GE Model GLDT696TSS-00 was less than 4 years old so it was great that I could purchase the parts from a supplier that had very reasonable pricing and fast shipping, but not a very good testament to the quality of GE's products.

Burner switch failure James C. • Estes Park , CO • November 30, 2015
Ordered a new switch (4456027) from you. You seemed to have the best price and guaranteed that it was a OEM part -not everybody did. I had repaired Jenn Air cook tops before so I thought this was not a problem. Wrong. Mostly it was my own stupidity. I exchanged the wires from the old switch to the new one at a time but did write down where the original wires went. Flipped the breakers back on. Only one heater got hot. Searched the internet for several days for a wiring diagram. Nothing much....
