This is the heating element located at the bottom of the dishwasher tub. It heats the water during the wash and rinse cycles and provides heat for the drying cycle. Replace this element if dishes come out wet or poorly cleaned, the water is not getting hot enough, or if the element is visibly damaged or broken.

First, I just unscrewed all nuts that are holding the frame and all surface elements. Once all parts, surface elements, control switches, are loose from the original glass, I just moved all parts to the new glass. I ordered the both the Pcb assembly and a heater sheath. Upon accessing the Pcb, I immediately discovered it had failed miserably, (contacts burnt and melted, wiring and insulation on one wire suffered severe electrical damage.
